Saturday Science: Aldo Leopold Day

January 11, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Happy Birthday Aldo! Let’s celebrate!

Bring the whole family to celebrate the life and legacy of Wisconsin’s premier conservationist, Aldo Leopold, at the Discovery Center’s event, Chill Out with Animals in Winter. Participate in activities throughout the Discovery Center and practice some of Aldo’s favorite pastimes such as bird watching, fishing, tracking, phenology, activities and scavenger hunts.

Join us to celebrate Wisconsin’s legendary naturalist and his legacy of environmentalism and conservation! Identify and investigate mammals, birds, fish, insects, reptiles and amphibians; read animal tracks and tree rings; make your own nature journal; build instruments to measure the wind and weather; and more.

No registration is required. This event is FREE and open to everyone.

A photographer may be onsite to document this event. If you would not like your photo taken, please advise the photographer. Thank you!
