Bird and Nature Outing at Edna Taylor Conservation Park Area
August 26 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am| Free
Help save Whooping Cranes! Join Aldo Leopold Naturalist Emily Steinwehe and Lizzie Condon with the International Crane Foundation to learn about the endangered Whooping Crane. We will take a family friendly hike to Edna Taylor Conservation Park to view urban crane wetland and prairie upland habitat, and if lucky we may see some of our local Sandhill Cranes and a colt, which is what we call a young crane. Free nature outing, no registration required. Bird and Nature Outings at Edna Taylor the 4th Saturday every month are co-sponsored by Madison FUN Friends of Urban Nature partners Madison Parks, Madison Audubon, Friends of Edna Taylor and Aldo Leopold Nature Center. See our websites and Facebook pages for more details and fun bird and nature activities. Contact 608-698-0104
