'Walking Home Ground: In the Footsteps of Muir, Leopold, and Derleth', is an account of regional writer Robert Root’s journey walking the same Wisconsin trails, countryside and natural areas as the legendary writers and conservationists listed in the title. In this reading and writing appreciation course, we will to respond to the reading and come up with our own ideas as to what home ground means to us and how we understand and experience our drift-less natural areas.
