1M. HIT THE TRAIL

June 11-15 • $410

One Night Overnight: Monday through Wednesday 9am to 4pm & 9am Thursday to 4pm Friday


Hiking boots? Check. Map? Check. Water bottle? Check. It’s time to hit some of the many great trails southern Wisconsin has to offer! Each day, we’ll depart from ALNC to a different hiking destination to hike, play, and explore some of our states best trails and natural areas. Our week will culminate in an overnight stay at Lake Kegonsa State Park!

2M. ON THE WATER

June 18-22 • $425

One Night Overnight: Monday through Wednesday 9am to 4pm & 9am Thursday to 4pm Friday


Wisconsin has more than 15,000 lakes and 82,000 miles of streams and rivers! This week we will fish, swim, hike, and paddle! Campers will visit Lake Mendota & Lake Waubesa, as they compare water quality from various sites. Lake Farm County Park will provide the backdrop for a campout on Thursday and we end the week paddling in one of our favorite spots.

3M. KICKAPOO RIVER TRIP I

June 25-29 • $540

Three Nights Overnight: Monday 9am to 4pm & 9am Tuesday to 4pm Friday


The Kickapoo, known as the “crookedest river in the world” is a beautiful 125 mile river that meanders through the Driftless region. This river system, one of the oldest in the state, features many unique rock formations, wildlife to observe, and places to explore. Before we head out on our adventure, we’ll cover the basics of camping, canoeing, and packing. After three nights along the river, we’ll return home with a sense of achievement, confidence, and new friendships! Similar activities to camps 7M & 11M

4M. FUN AT WORK!

July 2-6 (no camp on Wednesday, July 4) • $400

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9am to 4pm


Would you like to get a behind the scenes tour of the International Crane Foundation? Or meet the people who ensure Madison’s lakes are clean and safe for summer fun? Madison area professionals will give us hands-on experience and behind the scenes secrets about some local (and amazing) careers in science and the outdoors!

5M. GONE CAMPING!

July 9-13 • $470

Two Nights Overnight: Monday and Tuesday 9am to 4pm & 9am Wednesday to 4pm Friday


There are so many great places to camp in Wisconsin, but we’ll camp at one of the most popular: Devil’s Lake State Park! On our first two days at ALNC, we’ll learn camping fundamentals such as planning and packing for a camping trip, pitching a tent, and cooking over a fire. On Wednesday, we’ll head out for our two night overnight adventure and test our skills while hiking along the Ice Age Trail! Hiking, swimming, and cooking around the campfire–what a wonderful time we will have!

8M. WISCONSIN ROCKS

July 30-Aug 3 • $425

One Night Overnight: Monday through Wednesday 9am to 4pm & 9am Thursday to 4pm Friday


Wisconsin’s geological history will come alive in this week’s camp! The camp will begin with a geological exploration of ALNC. As the week goes on, campers will visit the UW Geology museum, stop at Babcock hall for a tour and taste, and check out Lake Superior rhyolite without leaving Madison! The week will wrap up with a trip to Cave of the Mounds and an overnight atop the highest point in southern Wisconsin, Blue Mound State Park!

10M. STEP BACK IN TIME

Aug 13-17 • $400

Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm


This week will be spent stepping into the shoes of some of the people who took part in Wisconsin’s rich history. We’ll visit Aldo Leopold’s famous shack in Baraboo, Old World Wisconsin, and Pendarvis. We will walk amongst the sunflowers at Pope Farm Conservancy as we learn how indigenous people played an important role in the health and beauty of this perennial plant.

12M. DISCOVERING ADVENTURES

Aug 27-31 • $430

Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm


It’s pretty fun to climb a tree, but how about climbing a rock wall? Or walking across a wire 50 feet in the air? If these sound fun, then this is the camp for you! We will spend lots of time outdoors while also learning skills needed to rock climb, kayak, and paddleboard. Join us as we mix adventure, skill building, and outdoor fun!
