Each session is offered 5 times/week; choose one: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

1. WALKING STICKS

June 11, 12, 13, 14 or 15 (M, T, W, R or F)

Talk about your camouflage! You have to look carefully to find this insect hiding in nature. But when the day is done it will be easy to see why it is so neat.


2. THE FLIGHT STUFF

June 18, 19, 20, 21 or 22 (M, T, W, R or F)

Red-winged blackbirds are the star of the show today. This marsh bird has a lot to defend. Will you be able to recognize the conk-a-ree noise when you leave? Fly on over and find out!


3. ROCK STAR

June 25, 26, 27, 28 or 29 (M, T, W, R or F)

This won’t be a hard topic to dig so grab your tools and hit the dirt. We are going to go out and collect some rocks! You’ll discover why rocking out with dirt is so cool while we sing and play.


4. LOOK SHARP

July 2, 3, 5 or 6 (M, T, R or F)*

This baby animal is full of surprises and covered with quills. When it’s born it can’t climb but its mother will. What is it? A porcupette! This lesson will poke you full of fun facts about porcupines. Do you have the spine for this one? *No class on Wednesday, July 4


5. FUN WITH FUNGI

July 9, 10, 11, 12 or 13 (M, T, W, R or F)

We don’t want to spore you with facts so you’ll discover them on your own. Don’t hide under a toadstool. Come on down and uncover the mysteries of mushrooms!


6. ROOKERY MISTAKE

July 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20 (M, T, W, R or F)

Wade in today’s adventure like a Great Blue Heron. Come discover the amazing wonders of these slow-moving birds. We’ll spear a fact or two and tuck into games and fun.


7. TRUE BLUE

July 23, 24, 25, 26 or 27 (M, T, W, R or F)

Bluebirds for you. These colorful birds will have you singing Zip-a-dee-doo-dah all the way home. It’s going to be a nest-box full of activities that you won’t want to miss!


8. MUSKY MAMMALS

July 30, 31, August 1, 2 or 3 (M, T, W, R or F)

Muskrats are mostly nocturnal rodents with scaly tails. They swim in the water. But wait, I’m spoiling the fun. If you want to learn more, then by all means, please come!


9. FINCH ME, I’M DREAMING

August 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 (M, T, W, R or F)

House, Purple or even American gold. It’s all finches to me! Find out what makes these birds so fascinating. Wake up and flock this way for a day of songs and games!


10. GET A GRIP

August 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17 (M, T, W, R or F)

We’ll handle summer in exciting ways today because there’s so much to discover using our fingers. Games, crafts, and more will put you in touch with summer. It’s a stroke of genius!


11. MINNOW MAYHEM

August 20, 21, 22, 23 or 24 (M, T, W, R or F)

Fish for fathead minnows today in our pond and find out what makes them swim. Don’t be schooled- come discover these catch-ivating fish!


12. CI-CAY-DA, CI-CAH-DA

August 27, 28, 29, 30 or 31 (M, T, W, R or F)

No matter how you say it, 17 years is a long time to wait so come explore with us today! Class will be clicking with activities and games all about these sap-sucking locusts. We will have you shouting “exoskeleton” before we are through!
