DESCRIPTION:Visit the Aldo Leopold Nature Center on Sunday\, July 13th\, for a journey through Wisconsin’s native habitats and to galaxies far away\, all from your own back yard!  Join us to welcome our new Executive Director\, Monona Mayor Bob Miller\, and to celebrate ALNC’s 20th anniversary. \nMonona is home to some of Wisconsin’s most beautiful native habitats – the towering oak savannah\, the green expanse of prairie\, and the wetlands and waterways\, teeming with life – and ALNC has maintained each of them as part of our interpretive trail system.  Inside the center\, guests can explore interactive exhibits about local and global climate science\, and journey through the solar system on our Science on a Sphere! \n If you’re new to ALNC\, now is the time to discover the natural wonderland in your own back yard! \nIf you’re a long-time supporter\, stop by to learn about our exciting new programs\, exhibits and land restoration projects! \nTake advantage of your local green space with special discounts on ALNC Membership! \nJoin us for the Open House on July 13th to enjoy: \n-FREE admission to our interactive indoor exhibits and nature nooks\n-family activities\, guided nature walks\, and exhibit tours\n-door prizes\, refreshments\, and fun\n-special discounted ALNC Memberships\n-special presentation: “Aldo Leopold Nature Center: 20 Years in the Community” \nThank you to our event partners: \n     \nRSVPs are preferred (click the button below to register)\, but walk-ins are welcome!  We are grateful to our wonderful community for two decades of continued support\, and we look forward to celebrating with you! \n \n
