SUMMARY:Public Lecture: Climate Change\, Rainfall and Wisconsin Communities
DESCRIPTION:Photo by Madeline Gotkowitz\, WICCI\nAre you interested in the impacts of climate change and how it will affect present communities and future generations in Wisconsin? Join the Aldo Leopold Nature Center for a free public lecture by David S. Liebl\, Statewide Outreach Specialist for UW-Extension and the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts (WICCI). \nThroughout the state\, communities need to plan for heavier rains and flooding\, as well as drought and an increased demand for safe drinking water. During his lecture\, Mr. Liebl will discuss these concerns and explain how communities facing these challenges can become more resilient through climate adaptation. The lecture will be followed by a guided tour of the Aldo Leopold Nature Center’s Climate Science Education Center and a special Science on a Sphere presentation.* \nPre-registration for the lecture and tour is not required\, but it’s recommended to RSVP below as space is limited. \nThis presentation\, Thursday\, July 24\, 6:00-7:00 PM\, is free and open to the public. It will be followed at 7:00 PM by a guided tour of the Aldo Leopold Nature Center’s Climate Science Education Center\, including a special presentation on Science On a Sphere (admission is free for lecture attendees\, though donations are appreciated!) \n  \n \n
