It’s easy to think about the seemingly endless resources and diversity that covers our globe. But taking a step back and viewing things from another perspective\, we are reminded that our fragile planet is alone in the vast darkness of Outer Space – it’s all we have\, and we’re all in this together! \nLooking at Earth from Space is a relatively new concept\, but something many in modern society take for granted. Visit the exhibits this month to explore this perspective\, learn about satellites\, visualizations\, and imagery of Earth from Space\, and rekindle a deeper appreciation for our living\, breathing planet. It is beautiful and fragile\, and it is our home. \nLined up for this month are featured shows and media and special activities that will get you thinking about our planet in a whole new way! Included are: \nOur Pale Blue Dot – Science on a Sphere – In this brand new production for Science on a Sphere\, we imagine the sense of wonder and astonishment that\, decades ago\, occurred each time a ground-breaking image of Earth was returned from off-world. Humanity has always gazed upward to the stars. Now\, we are finally looking back. This new perspective seems to rekindle a deeper appreciation for our living and breathing planet and the challenges it faces. \nA Day in the Life – Orientation Theater – Celebrate the beauty\, fragility and resilience of the natural world – and the people whose lives depend on it. \nFurther Up Yonder – Immersion Theater – A time-lapsed message from the International Space Station to all Humankind! View Earth as an astronaut high above\, with our planet below you spinning faster and faster\, merging land\, oceans\, and people together\, with no borders\, ready to follow you to new worlds beyond. \nEarthCast – Kids Climate Cast – Broadcast yourself from around the globe in our green screen studio. \nAnd more! \nPlus\, we have embarked on a Blue Marble campaign to install the region’s first ever Elumenati Omnifocus Projection System in our Immersion Theater.
