SUMMARY:The Six-Degree World and What We Can Do
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the evening of Thursday\, October 23\, as we welcome repeat guest lecturer\, Dr. Richard Steeves\, Radiation Oncologist at UW Health and Professor Emeritus in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health’s Department of Human Oncology. Dr. Steeves will be discussing the writings of British author and activist Mark Lynas and incorporating his own views on conventional vs. unconventional energy sources and the impacts of nuclear energy on individuals\, society\, and the planet. \nThis program is part of our ongoing series of FREE public lectures on climate\, energy\, and sustainability. Pre-registration for the lecture and tour is not required\, but it’s recommended to RSVP below as space is limited. \nThis presentation\, Thursday\, October 23\, 6:00-7:00 PM\, is free and open to the public. It will be followed at 7:00 PM by a guided tour of the Aldo Leopold Nature Center’s Climate Science Education Center\, including a special presentation on Science On a Sphere (admission is free for lecture attendees\, though donations are appreciated!) \n \n
