SUMMARY:Vacation Day: Winter Survival
DESCRIPTION:Any of us could find ourselves in a situation where we need to use winter survival skills. In this adventurous program\, we’ll learn what nature provides to help us survive\, learn how to dress appropriately\, pack a survival kit and work cooperatively.  After learning this\, we’ll head to the woods to test our skills in building a fire\, creating a makeshift shelter\, and cooking a snack over our survival fire.\nPlease pack a sack lunch. AM and PM snacks provided. \nCost: $55/child (Members receive 10% discount) \nAdditional info:\n— Vacation Day programming is designed for ages 5-12. Attendees will be split into groups according to age so material may be adjusted accordingly.\n— Please send your child with an extra set of clothing\, appropriate clothing to spend the majority of the day outdoors\, and bug spray and/or sunscreen if appropriate. \nExtended Day is available from 8:30-9am and 4-5:30pm at an additional cost.
