DESCRIPTION:Did you know that Aldo Leopold’s birthday is in January? Let’s celebrate his birthday by doing some of his favorite activities! We will learn how to observe nature and record what is happening outside. Phenology is a term you will get to learn and use to compare what we see outside here at ALNC with what other people are seeing outside. \nCost: $60/child for full day (9am-4pm) \nPlease pack a sack lunch. AM and PM snacks provided. \nAdditional info:\n— Vacation Day programming is designed for ages 5-12. Attendees will be split into groups according to age so material may be adjusted accordingly.\n— Please send your child with appropriate clothing to spend the majority of the day outdoors and bug spray and/or sunscreen if appropriate. \nExtended Day is available from 8 to 9 am and 4 to 5:30 pm for an additional cost. Click here to register for Extended Day.  \n \n

From their funny four-toed feet to their sticky tongues\, there is lots to explore so join us for a day of hands on activities and woody woodpecker fun! \nNotes:\n— All sessions include indoor and outdoor time. Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing.\n— All sessions include a snack.\n– For all sessions\, registration deadline is 24 hours prior to the program.
