Our facility will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, and Friday, July 5th in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
Our building will reopen to the public at 10am on Saturday, July 6th.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

Please-

  • Stay on the trails
  • Do not pick wildflowers and plants
  • Refrain from picnicking or eating
  • Leave dogs and pets at home
  • Do not use bicycles or motorized vehicles
  • Respect all living things
  • Remember, you are nature’s guest!

Leopold Interpretive Trail
This award-winning trail leads visitors through examples of native Wisconsin habitats, with easy to understand explanations of various sites and questions that Aldo Leopold might have asked you, had he been standing next to you on the trail!
