Enhance your exploration of nature with our Trailside Backpacks! This self-guided, year-round program is designed for groups to learn together as they explore the Aldo Leopold Nature Center trails and beyond. We’ll provide a backpack with ID books, activities, and all the tools you’ll need to engage with nature.

This program is FREE thanks to generous support from the Monona Tourism Commission.

Public hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm, and weekends 10am to 2pm. To ensure availability for large groups, please call in advance.
