Ways to Give
In addition to supporting our important mission of fostering environmental understanding and stewardship, your planned estate gift can offer three important benefits to you and you family:

•  It can provide you with life income
•  It can preserve your assets for future beneficiaries

Outright Gifts
Outright gifts are transferred immediately and directly from you to ALNC , and provide instant resources to support our charitable activities.  Outright gifts are tax deductible* and can help reduce your capital gains tax for appreciated assets.  Outright gifts can include gifts of cash, gifts of securities, gifts of real estate,* and/or gifts of valuable collectibles.  (*Some limitations may apply. Consult your tax advisor)

Bequests, IRAs, Retirement Plans & Life Insurance
Through your will, IRAs, retirement plan, or life insurance policies, you can easily and simply leave a lasting gift to the Aldo Leopold Nature Center.  Naming ALNC as a beneficiary on IRAs, a retirement plan or a life insurance policy is as simple as signing a form with the holder of those plans.  By working with your estate planner or attorney, you can select a specific, general or residuary bequest to ALNC in your will that will create a lasting legacy to support important conservation efforts.

To include the Aldo Leopold Nature Center as a beneficiary of your estate plan, please use the following language:

“I gift ____ (% or dollar amount) to the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Inc. [federal tax id #39-1786897], a nonprofit organization organized and existing under the laws of Wisconsin and with a principal mailing address of 330 Femrite Drive, Monona, WI 53716.

Life Income Gifts
A life-income gift allows you to receive secure, tax-exempt income to help meet your current and future financial needs, while making a deductible and lasting gift to the Aldo Leopold Nature Center. Life income gifts can also help you avoid capital gains and estate taxes. Life income gifts include charitable gift annuities, deferred gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts.
