Last week, the Nature Preschoolers celebrated Aldo’s 138th Birthday!The Chickadees hiked to the Children’s Shack and read a story about Aldo Leopold inside. The Children’s shack is a 3/4 size replica of Aldo Leopold’s Shack in Sauk County, where Aldo and his family spent many weekends practicing phenology by recording their observations of the natural world.The Nature Preschoolers also practiced their observation skills by making a ‘bird-day’ cake to attract winter birds.
