Community & Communications Assistant, Permanent Part-Time Weekdays

The Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) seeks an outgoing, energetic and adaptable individual to join its team in a dynamic position engaging the public onsite and virtually at their indoor/outdoor Monona campus. The new position will assist with weekday reception desk staffing as well as written and digital communication projects. Activities include assisting educators with attendance, breaks and deliveries; assisting our community in-person and via phone and email; helping grow the ALNC community; and assisting the Marketing & Communications Manager on projects related to phenology, hands-on activities, outreach and social engagement.

Environmental Educator, Seasonal Full-Time

Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) seeks adaptable, creative, and engaging environmental educators to teach summer camp programs from mid-June through the end of August. ALNC is a non-profit educational organization guided by Aldo Leopold’s land ethic, with a mission to engage and educate current and future generations, empowering them to respect, protect and enjoy the natural world and serves more than 50,000 children, teachers, members and families annually through year-round programming that includes school field trips, summer camps, a nature preschool as well as public and private events.

Environmental Educator & Community Assistant, Permanent Part-Time Weekends

Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) seeks qualified, energetic individuals to joins its team in a dynamic indoor/outdoor position educating the public on a variety of environmental and natural history topics. Staff are now being hired to deliver and facilitate ALNC weekend educational programming, guided tours and events. Activities focus on topics related to local floral and fauna, seasonal phenology, climate change, sustainability, and the history and teachings of Aldo Leopold and his family. Staff lead group tours and interpretive programs, teach birthday parties, lead scout and other organized youth group programs and welcome and assist visitors of all ages.
