Back-Acre Bird Hike

February 14, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join ALNC naturalist and resident birder, Alex Jeffers, on a guided birdwatching hike in celebration of the 2016 Great Backyard Bird Count. Hike our prairie, wetland, and woodlands to help us track birds on our grounds as part of this nation-wide citizen science initiative. Bring your kids, your lovebird, or yourself to discover and identify local birds, listen for their calls, and learn how you can conduct citizen science in your own backyard.

Afterwards, head inside to test your skills with the Leopold Soundscape and Bird Identification interactive in our brand new Immersion Theater!

FREE with paid public admission to ALNC and exhibit areas
