Home School (Age 9-14): Green Thumbs

Spring is a time for new growth, and what better way to promote that new growth than by planting the garden at ALNC! We will put on our work gloves, fill our watering cans and head out to the greenhouse and garden to start new plants. Learn about techniques for planting and growing different plants and discover some of the plants that grow in the garden of the nature center.
9-14 year olds will lead the younger students for this session and coordinate plantings in the greenhouse.

For all sessions, registration deadline is 48 hours prior to the class. This is done to allow for ALNC to plan for small group sizes and staffing needs. Please call (608)-216-9370 to inquire about space if trying to register within the 48 hours prior to a program.
