Home School (Ages 9-14): Aquatic Field Studies Part 1

Naturalists will guide students in a preliminary aquatic field study of the pond at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center.  During part 1, students will gather data on the living parameters of an aquatic system and will analyze that data in order to begin to determine the health of the pond.  We’ll focus on the abiotic factors including pH and dissolved oxygen in part 2 and combine our results with part 1 in order to determine the overall health of ALNC’s pond.
