|Recurring Event (See all)
Saturdays and Sundays in February 2014

Experience life as a virtual astronaut as you leave Earth’s atmosphere and explore the worlds beyond – navigate your way through an astronomical photo exhibit, learn about satellites, fly across Earth’s surface, orbit other planets, and enjoy activities and adventures that are sure to be out of this world!3 Kids in costume at SOS

View a stunning display of beautiful images from NASA, with additions from local astronomers, on loan from the University of Wisconsin Astronomy Department (with explanations in English, Spanish, and Hmong).

Fun hands-on activities will help you learn about what constellations to look for throughout the year — and you can build your own constellation projector to take home!

In the Kids’ Climate Cast, imagine yourself journeying through galaxies near and far… live from our green screen TV studio “spaceship”!

In our Immersion Theater, view NASA’s awesome film, ‘Pursuit of Light!’ Built from time lapse imagery and some of the biggest datasets ever captured, the movie is a visual poem about up-to-the-minute areas of hot NASA research with an eye toward humanity’s place in a dynamic universe.

Plus, join us for some amazing gazing “Under the Starry Skies” on Saturday, February 8!
