A MILLION thanks to Deb McCue, our former Business Manager, for her incredible contributions to ALNC over the past THREE decades!!One of our founding staff members, Deb, started working for our organization in 1994 and began her retirement last week. We can honestly say, we do not know where our organization would be without her as she has been a constant through our 30 plus years of growth, from a humble beginning in a converted greenhouse to our current business model, including a Nature Preschool, summer camps, field trips, after-school, and so much more.Thank you Deb for working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that daily Nature Center operations ran smoothly and, when it all really hit the fan in 2020, for securing PPP loans and the workshare program, guaranteeing staff compensation and the viability of our organization in uncertain times. Her dedication and professionalism have been essential to our success and she is already greatly missed. From ensuring our financial security to supporting staff with kindness and humor, she has left a lasting impact on our organization. Her steady presence, insightful guidance, and helpful nature have made an immeasurable difference in the lives of the children and families we serve as well as our community as a whole.Deb, it is with heartfelt gratitude and reverence that we wish you endless joy in your well-deserved retirement!
