Front Desk Volunteer (PT/Permanent)
The Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) seeks an outgoing, energetic, and capable individual to join its team in a dynamic volunteer position, engaging the public onsite. This dedicated volunteer will assist with weekday and/or weekend reception desk staffing. Activities focus on accepting mail/deliveries and other administrative duties, assisting the community in-person and via phone and email, and helping to grow the ALNC community. Land Stewards (PT/Seasonal)
Interested in helping restore and maintain ALNC’s prairie, marsh, and woodlands? Become a volunteer land steward! Volunteer land steward projects focus mainly on land management projects and invasive species removal. Basic tools and supplies will be provided. Learn more about Land Stewards here.
Snack Volunteer (PT/Permanent)
The Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) seeks dedicated volunteers to help us provide healthy snacks for children in our educational programs by picking up, delivering, and putting away our weekly grocery order. Time commitment is 1 – 1.5 hours per week on Mondays between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm. Volunteers pick up an order from a store in the Monona or East Madison area, drive it to ALNC, and put it away in our kitchen and classrooms. Must have reliable transportation.
