Our facility will be closed from Monday, Dec 23rd to Wednesday, Dec 25th for the winter break.
Our building will reopen to the public at 9am on Thursday, Dec 26th.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

Our facility is open on weekdays from 9am to 4pm and on weekends from 10am to 2pm.

Rooted in nature, Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) inspires an environmentally-considerate generation that is empowered to take positive ecological and social actions for a sustainable future.   • Birthday Parties For ages 3+
    A happy, hands-on celebration awaits your child during a nature-themed birthday party at ALNC!
  • Scout Programs For all Scouts
    Lead Scouts to a deeper appreciation of the natural world, and our connection to it, with troop badge work.
  • Off-Site Programming For grades Pre-K to 8
    Let us come to you! We’ll bring our programming with your chosen topic to your school or community center.
  • Nature Activities for… Anywhere For all ages
    Nature is everywhere. It’s in our communities, in our parks, and in our backyards. Connect with the natural world around you with engaging stories, virtual field trips, and hands-on activities.
  • Nature Net For students, parents/caregivers, and educators… of all ages
    For over twenty years, Nature Net has been connecting children, families, and educators to nature through hands-on, outdoor learning and exploration across South Central Wisconsin and beyond.
