ALNC UPDATES

Our facility will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 22nd through Friday, Nov. 24th in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Our building will reopen to the public at 10am on Saturday, Nov. 25th.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

Welcome! Our facility is open on weekdays from 9am to 4pm and on weekends from 10am to 2pm.

Wearing a face mask indoors is optional. Because we are a childcare facility and follow public health protocols, we have limited access to some public offerings and areas of our facility. We appreciate your patience as we work to find a healthy balance of access and safety for our community.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

Family Public Program: Tiki Torch Toboggan and Campfire Cookout

January 9, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

It’s Aldo Leopold’s birthday weekend! Come celebrate at our Black Earth Campus, located in the Driftless Region!  Grab your sled (or snowshoes) and join us for an evening of fun in the snow! Discover the winter flora and fauna as you sled, snowshoe or hike along the snow-covered trails.  Finally, we’ll warm up around a roaring campfire with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy a birthday snack. ALNC will have adult and child snowshoes available for use at this event.  Participants are invited to bring dinner to cook over the campfire or eat in the cabin.

Pre-registration preferred, walk-ins accepted.
**Online registration ends at 4pm on Friday, January 8th. Please walk-in and register after that point.
