Home School (Age 9-14): Wisconsin’s Natural History

January 31, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$10

Wisconsin is home to many outdoor enthusiasts who loved spending time outdoors and wanted to protect nature. We will learn about some of Wisconsin’s famous conservationists, from Aldo Leopold to John Muir and Gaylord Nelson. Then we will enjoy time enjoying a variety of outdoor activities, thanks to the conservation efforts of Wisconsin’s outdoor supporters.
9-14 year olds will focus on diversity in the fields of science and the environment, exploring individuals and groups such as George Washington Carver, the Chipko Movement and Buffalo Soldiers.

For all sessions, registration deadline is 48 hours prior to the class. This is done to allow for ALNC to plan for small group sizes and staffing needs. Please call (608)-216-9370 to inquire about space if trying to register within the 48 hours prior to a program.

$10/child (ALNC Members save 10%)
