Home School (Age 9-14): Woodland Park Discovery Day

May 2, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$10

Across from the Nature Center driveway is the City of Monona’s Woodland Park.  We’ll explore this wonderful, wooded area for newly emerging spring wildflowers and mushrooms!  With binoculars we’ll scan the shrubs and canopy for migrating spring birds.  Join us to learn about the large, glacial drumlin that forms the main hill and play games in the open oak savanna restoration area.  It will be a day of adventure!
9-14 year olds will explore other glacial features and learn about this history of the Native American mounds in the park.

For all sessions, registration deadline is 48 hours prior to the class. This is done to allow for ALNC to plan for small group sizes and staffing needs. Please call (608)-216-9370 to inquire about space if trying to register within the 48 hours prior to a program.

$10/child (ALNC Members save 10%)
