ALNC UPDATES

Our facility will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 22nd through Friday, Nov. 24th in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Our building will reopen to the public at 10am on Saturday, Nov. 25th.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

Welcome! Our facility is open on weekdays from 9am to 4pm and on weekends from 10am to 2pm.

Wearing a face mask indoors is optional. Because we are a childcare facility and follow public health protocols, we have limited access to some public offerings and areas of our facility. We appreciate your patience as we work to find a healthy balance of access and safety for our community.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

Home School (Ages 9-14): White-Tailed Deer Ecology

November 22, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$10

We hear a lot about white-tailed deer in Wisconsin in November!  It’s no wonder–able to leap tall fences in a single bound, the white-tailed deer is an animal of incredible beauty and power.  We’ll explore the lives of Wisconsin’s official state wildlife animal and learn about their populations, biology, adaptations, and survival needs.  We’ll hike the ALNC grounds to search for signs of this iconic animal.
9-14 Year Olds will include ecology, populations, hunting and ethics discussions.

For all sessions, registration deadline is 48 hours prior to the class. This is done to allow for ALNC to plan for small group sizes and staffing needs.  Please call to inquire about space if planning to drop in, but realize that space may not be available if less than 48 hours is given.

$10/child (ALNC Members save 10%)
