Our facility will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, and Friday, July 5th in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
Our building will reopen to the public at 10am on Saturday, July 6th.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

Pioneer Days

April 1, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Turn off the TV and join us for some old-fashioned fun! We’ll spend the day playing pioneer games, writing & mailing a letter the old fashioned way, trade and barter in the pioneer general store, and much, much more.  As a special treat, we’ll learn all about a special frontier storyteller from Wisconsin named Juliette Kinzie, whose home was not far from Aldo Leopold’s shack.

Add on Wednesday’s Extended Day from 8:30-9am and 4-5:30pm for extra flexibility!
