Native Plant Sale
In support of children’s environmental education
In partnership with Good Oak Ecological Services and Quercus Land Stewardship Services, we are holding a native plant sale just in time for Earth Day! Order native plants and pick them up at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center starting Saturday, April 19th. Native plants are sold as 2×2 plugs and are $5 each.
If you ordered last year… Order again!
Some of the plants are different and you can never have too many native plants. Gift them to a neighbor or friend… it’s all in support of our environment and children’s outdoor education.
Plants for sale include:
For Sunny Areas
- Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa)
- White Prairie Clover (Dalea candida)
- Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium)
- Prairie Smoke (Geum triflorum)
For Shady Areas
- Jacob’s Ladder (Polemonium reptans)
- Wild Columbine (Aquilegia canadensis)
- Bottlebrush Grass (Elymus hystrix)
- Wild Geranium (Geranium maculatum)
For Wet Areas
- Cardinal Flower (Lobelia cardinalis)
- Monkey Flower (Mimulus ringens)
- Marsh Blazing Star (Liatris spicata)
- Wool Grass (Scirpus cyperinus)
