Due to the extreme cold and COVID precautions,
the Wonder Bugs program is cancelled Wednesday, Jan. 26th.

OUR FACILITY REMAINS CLOSED TO VISITORS, BUT IS OPEN FOR PROGRAMS.*

We invite you out for a hike to explore the magic of the natural world, our trails are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

We ask that all staff and visitors follow our mask policy to help keep everyone safe and slow the spread of COVID-19.

Candlelit Snowshoe Hike

January 15 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Hundreds of softly glowing lights illuminate the trails of Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Edna Taylor Conservancy and Woodland Park. Join us for a hike and enjoy a roaring bonfire outside the beautiful Aldo Leopold Nature Center.

In partnership with Madison Parks and Monona Parks & Recreation, all ages and abilities are welcome to this FREE snowshoeing event! After snowshoeing, warm up by a roaring fire; and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, coffee or tea.

Come one, come all…No pre-registration is required!

This is a FREE event with FREE parking and a FREE shuttle from the Ahuska Park parking lot (400 W. Broadway).

Food Trucks on site! Cultura Cali will be selling tacos and Chicaboom Coffee will be selling coffee, hot chocolate, and tea.

Portable restrooms will be available.

PARKING: Free shuttle service and free parking at Ahuska Park. Parking, without shuttle service, may be available along Femrite Drive, Roselawn Drive and Edna Taylor Parkway. Parking map found here.
