Quadrats Are Where It’s At

November 18, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$10

Registration Deadline: Friday, November 14, 2014
A quadrat is a simple device for marking out a small area. It helps focus attention on a particular area and understand how they can be used to sample a larger area. By recording information from a number of quadrats placed within a larger study area, scientists obtain a sample of the whole area, which may be too big to describe in full. We’ll spend the afternoon plotting in the prairie and measuring the maple field!
