Vacation Day: Christmas Bird Count at ALNC! (MGSD & MMSD)

December 28, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$10 – $60

Every year people from all over the country come together to count birds for the Christmas Bird Count. Citizen scientists submit their bird observations which helps researchers at Audubon learn more about how birds are doing, and how to protect them and the environment we share. While collecting this info, we’ll hike using binoculars to search for birds, fill bird feeders, and have all sorts of feathery fun!

Cost: $60/child for full day (9am-4pm)

Please pack a sack lunch. AM and PM snacks provided.

Additional info:
— Vacation Day programming is designed for ages 5-12. Attendees will be split into groups according to age so material may be adjusted accordingly.
— Please send your child with appropriate clothing to spend the majority of the day outdoors and bug spray and/or sunscreen if appropriate.

Extended Day is available from 8 to 9 am and 4 to 5:30 pm for an additional cost. Click here to register for Extended Day.
