ALNC UPDATES

Our facility will be closed on Tuesday, August 29th for a Strategic Planning Meeting for our board and staff.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.

Welcome! Our facility is open on weekdays from 9am to 4pm and on weekends from 10am to 2pm.

Wearing a face mask indoors is optional. Because we are a childcare facility and follow public health protocols, we have limited access to some public offerings and areas of our facility. We appreciate your patience as we work to find a healthy balance of access and safety for our community.

Vacation Day: Winter Survival (MGSD)

December 3, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$10 – $60

Any of us could find ourselves in a situation where we need to use winter survival skills. In this adventurous program, we’ll learn what nature provides to help us survive, learn how to dress appropriately, pack a survival kit and work cooperatively. After learning this, we’ll head to the woods to test our skills in building a fire and creating a makeshift shelter.

Cost: $60/child for full day (9am-4pm)

Please pack a sack lunch. AM and PM snacks provided.

Additional info:
— Vacation Day programming is designed for ages 5-12. Attendees will be split into groups according to age so material may be adjusted accordingly.
— Please send your child with appropriate clothing to spend the majority of the day outdoors and bug spray and/or sunscreen if appropriate.

Extended Day is available from 8 to 9 am and 4 to 5:30 pm for an additional cost. Click here to register for Extended Day.
