Nuno Felted Scarf Workshop

May 4, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

10am-4pm
In this workshop, participants will create a sample piece to play with texture and color, then create a one of a kind work of art, perfect for cool nights in the spring or cold winter days.  Nuno felting is a technique that bonds loose fiber, in this case Merino wool, into a lightweight, flowing felt fabric.  This class is appropriate for beginner and intermediate wet felters. Ages 16+ please; ages 14-15 welcome with adult.

Please Bring the following supplies: bag lunch, two old bath towels, comfortable clothes, waterproof apron (optional!), materials fee: $20

Instructor Bio: Emily Graf has been wet felting hats and other accessories for years, and in the past two years has turned this hobby/obsession into a full time job.  She has taught felting classes for community education, accredited schools and Road Scholar programs as well as to groups of public school kids.

ALNC Members & Non-Members: $60/person + $20 materials fee
