These flowers are everywhere right now! They're hard to miss!
Wild bergamot, commonly known as bee balm, has vibrant purple-pink flowers that attract a variety of pollinators, including hummingbirds. The blooms last for at least a month, providing nectar for monarch butterflies, bumblebees, and other pollinators.
All parts of the plant are edible, and the leaves have a flavor similar to oregano. The dried leaves can be used in many of the same dishes as oregano, such as pasta sauce, pizza, and soups. They can also be brewed into tea.
