This is the perfect weather for a mushroom hunt! 🍄

The Nature Preschoolers found fungi growing in the grass and on dead stumps. They also learned about the different parts of a mushroom and even dressed their teacher up as one, complete with a cap, stem, ring, and mycelium!

Fall Fest is less than THREE WEEKS away!

A snake was spotted swimming in the pond!

It is difficult to identify the species from the video, but it might be a young Northern water snake or a common garter snake. Garter snakes are semi-aquatic and can enter the water to hunt for prey such as frogs, tadpoles, small fish, and leeches. Both species are not dangerous to people and swim with an S-shaped motion.
