These beautiful spring ephemerals are blooming in the Kindergarten Woods. They start as pink buds and turn pale blue as the flowers mature. Their alternate leaves are oval in shape, toothless, and smooth. Virginia bluebell flowers are made of five petals fused into a tube. Due to their flower’s funnel shape, the plant relies on long-tongued bees, butterflies, and moths to pollinate them.![]()
