Working on problem-solving skills while practicing cross stitching!![]()

After a bit of hesitancy, the OAKS After-School students gave cross stitching a try. The children practiced their first stitch, and one student commented, “We’re doing a grandma thing!”![]()

The group kept going and jumped into making patterns. Some students followed models, while others chose to be creative. They had to troubleshoot many mistakes and overcome challenges, but patience and resilience paid off. Look at those beaming smiles as they hold their finished projects!![]()
