Little Naturalists Field Trip

Join us for a slow-paced, toddler-led walk specially designed for families with young kids! We’re thrilled to partner with Hike it Baby Madison, the local chapter of a national organization focused on getting children comfortable in nature at an early age, and the Madison Audubon Society. With professional naturalists from Madison Audubon Society and Aldo Leopold Nature Center in tow, children will learn the plants, rocks, birds, and bugs they find while they hike through the woods and prairie. Parent(s) or caregivers are required to attend with children — you’ll have fun too, we promise!

Easy terrain (level, mowed paths) make this hike appropriate for all walking stages and strollers. No dogs, please. Membership in any of the three partnering organizations is not required. Grab your kids and come for a fun morning walk!
