The Wonder Bugs quickly realized that all of these animals are active at night! Ms. Virginia pulled out her magic basket of puppets, pelts, and owl wings for the children to discover and touch. Then, the group went on a hike in the Basswood Forest to find pictures of nocturnal creatures. ![]()

The children used flashlights for the scavenger hunt and played a fun game: when the moon sign was out, it was time to be active and when the sun sign was out, the children pretended to be asleep. The game became particularly funny when they had to sleep like bats, hanging upside down, with the help of their grown-ups!![]()

On the way back to the building, the Wonder Bugs enjoyed some free play where they climbed in the branches of the ‘Spaceship’ tree and explored a very cool fort!![]()
