Public Program: Candlelit Snowshoe Hike

December 16, 2017 @ 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm

| This event is free!

Due to the lack of snow on the ground and in the forecast, this event has been changed to a Candlelit Hike.

Hundreds of softly glowing lights illuminate the trails of Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Edna Taylor Conservancy and Woodland Park. Join us for a hike and enjoy a roaring bonfire outside and activities inside the beautiful Aldo Leopold Nature Center.

In partnership with Madison Parks and Monona Parks & Recreation, all ages and abilities are welcome to this FREE snowshoeing event! After snowshoeing, warm up by a roaring fire; and for a small fee, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, some tasty popcorn or make your very own s’more. Head into the nature center to learn about local habitats, explore our planet and navigate December’s theme in ALNC’s exhibits, interactive theaters and Nature Nook play spaces. Suggested donation is $5 for family admission to the exhibit space.

This is a FREE event with FREE parking and a FREE shuttle from the Meriter Monona parking lot (6408 Copps Ave); popcorn & hot chocolate and s’mores will be available for a small fee.

Come one, come all! No preregistration is required! FREE parking at the Meriter Monona parking lot and FREE shuttle to the event.

Please note: ALL PARKING for this event is at Meriter Monona, 6408 Copps Avenue, with FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE to the event.

For more information, please call: 608-221-0404 x 0.
