Family Public Program: Maple Syrup Mini-Fest
March 23, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for a FREE morning of fun at Dreambank*, where we’ll explore the history and science of maple syruping in Wisconsin!
Come one, come all to our unique and unforgettable celebration of the season! This family-friendly event offers a blend of indoor and outdoor activities found nowhere else in Madison. Stations throughout Dreambank will lead visitors, at their own pace, through the history and science of maple syruping.
See maple syrup demonstrations and learn about the differences between sap and syrup. Hear stories of Native Americans, pioneers and people today who tap trees for the production of maple syrup and sugar. Test your nature smarts and learn about sap production. Sample 100% pure Wisconsin maple syrup, maple cream and enjoy maple-topped ice cream!
It really is a sweet (and sticky) way to kick-off spring!
*Please note, due to Learning Lab construction in the Discovery Wing at ALNC, we are holding Maple Syrup Mini-Fest offsite this year.
Children’s Environmental Education at ALNC is empowered by our 2019 Program and Media Partners. If you are interested in partnering with us, please contact Kelley Van Egeren at kelley@aldoleopoldnaturecenter.org.
