milky_way_panorama_large

View the stars and night sky from above and below at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center this month! Practice your stargazing and experience life as a virtual astronaut, exploring our planet and the worlds beyond – navigate your way through astronomical activities, observe Earth from outer space, orbit other planets, gaze at constellations… Visit our exhibits 7 days a week during February to enjoy activities and adventures that are sure to be out of this world!

Activities and programs include:

  • The Wanderers – Science on a Sphere: Take a tour of the solar system and view celestial bodies and astronomic imagery as you never have before: projected in realistic spherical form!
  • NASA Eyes on the Solar System – Immersion Theater: click through NASA content in our interactive theater to learn about our home planet, our solar system, the universe beyond, and the spacecraft exploring them all.
  • Constellation Station: Practice identifying common constellations, learn their stories and characters, and come up with your own constellations!
  • Plus, imagery from NASA, GoogleSky explorations, hands-on activities, and more.

The Aldo Leopold Nature Center would like to thank ATC and DuPont for supporting our monthly exhibit themes. Don’t forget — themes change monthly, so there is always something new to discover!
