PBS Get Up and Go Day!

August 2, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

PBS Kids is encouraging your kiddos to get outside, get active, and be healthy at their 15th annual Get Up and Go Day featuring the Aldo Leopold Nature Center! This year features a new Madison location for the event, as well as 5 others locations throughout Wisconsin.

Wisconsin PBS Kids is home to children’s show faves like Curious George, Sesame Street, Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That, Word Girl and more. Now take the characters and shows kiddos love to inspire them to get outside, be active, and be healthy; that’s the idea behind PBS Kids Get Up and Go Day. This year’s event is being held at the Kohl Center on August 2nd from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and will feature activities events that encourage healthy living. This free event will also feature an appearance from PBS Kids host Mr. Steve, and is televised across the state.

Have friends or family in other areas of WI? Let them know about Get Up and Go Day too! Other locations include La Crosse, Eau Claire, Fox Valley, and Keshena and each location features a different costumed character or PBS Kids host. Get Up and Go and have a great time!
