With Maple Syrup Fest behind us and with Pipers in the Prairie and Fall Fest coming up soon, we want to take this opportunity to thank our generous Event Partners whose investment in our mission has a huge impact.

Thanks to corporations who pay an event fee and businesses which provide in-kind printing and promotional services, as well as donations of silent auction items and food galore, ALNC can offer, to the public, educational and fun special events at minimal expense so nearly 100% of proceeds go directly to fund children’s programming throughout the year.

Isthmus, a long-time Media Partner for Pipers in the Prairie provides pro bono promotional ads—creating awareness of our events as well as giving ALNC a popular and well-respected platform to recognize other Event Partners.  When asked why they support ALNC, Linda Baldwin, Associate Publisher of Isthmus and IsthmusParents.com. told us,

“Isthmus supports many worthy not-for-profits in the Madison area, none better than Aldo Leopold Nature Center.  They create unique programs that capture the interest of kids and parents alike in a beautiful setting.  Our readers and ALNC – a great combination!”

In addition to contributing an event fee, this year BMO Harris Bank employees, including Doug Nelson, Regional President, Central Region, volunteered their time to clear brush, build the bonfire and spiff up the grounds in preparation for Pipers in the Prairie.  When asked why BMO Harris Bank goes beyond the call of duty to help with the hard and dirty work, Nelson had this to say,

“We are proud to continue our support of the Aldo Leopold Nature Center through event partnerships and our annual BMO Volunteer Day, where 65 employees volunteered for various projects at the Nature Center. The Aldo Leopold Nature Center is at the forefront of teaching children and their families that everything in nature is connected and we can preserve our environment through the choices we make each day.”
