Big thanks to Swita Metal Roofing… We got a new roof! ![]()

The roof over the Nature Preschool was original, 30 years old and greatly in need of renewal. Instead of replacing the asphalt shingles, we chose to install a metal roof because, ultimately, it creates less of a mess and is more environmentally friendly. Shingle roofs have a 20-30 year lifespan, while metal roofs can last for 100 years. Even though metal is more expensive, it is much more beneficial in the long run.![]()

Thank you Mike and Mary Swita, owners of Swita Roofing, for giving us a sweet discount in support of our mission and 30 years of children’s environmental education! The project was easy to set up and their crew was very empathetic of our concerns. They were all very friendly and mindful of programming and paid close attention to the families and kids coming in and out of the building. ![]()
