Land Stewards & Restorationists — We Need YOU!

IMG_6513 compressed

Interested in helping restore and maintain ALNC’s prairie, marsh, and woodlands? Join us one Saturday a month, March through November, to help control invasives, seed with native plants, get dirty and have some fun! Volunteer work days will focus mainly on land management and other projects as needed. Work days may be cancelled or planned activities modified due to inclement weather.

Here are just a few Land Stewards projects:

  • Cut honeysuckle and other unwanted brush
  • Mulching
  • Trail maintenance
  • Pull garlic mustard and other invasive species
  • Transplant wildflowers
  • Collect and label seeds
  • Garden work
  • Pick up litter

Join us for one of our upcoming volunteer work days! Larger groups — please call ahead. Otherwise, simply show up and ALNC staff will greet you upon arrival. Adults and youth welcome.

Please contact us at (608) 221-0404 or at alnc@aldoleopoldnaturecenter.org for more information.
