Our facility will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15th in observation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Our building will reopen to the public at 9am on Tuesday, Jan. 16th.

As always, our grounds and trails featuring self-guided tours are free and open daily from dawn until dusk.
Please exercise caution to remain safe on trails, sidewalks, and driveways, as conditions may be icy.

Our facility is open on weekdays from 9am to 4pm and on weekends from 10am to 2pm.

Youth Programs

  • Wonder BugsWonder Bugs Preschool Program – Introduce your toddler or pre-school aged child to a safe and wonderful natural world. This program is specifically designed for children ages 2-5 (before entering kindergarten).
  • ALNC School Programs Vacation Day Programs – Your child has off of school-now what? Bring them for a day of exciting learning and adventure at one of the following programs offered during winter break, spring break and other major vacation days that many area school districts have off. Ages 5-12.
  • Girl Scouts Girl Scouts – Troop badge work, overnights, and pre-scheduled programs lead scouts to a deeper appreciation of the outdoor world.
  • AcademyAldo_275 Boy Scouts – Troop badge work, overnights, and Eagle Scout projects lead scouts to a deeper appreciation of the outdoor world.
  • group shot on stage Youth Groups – Do you lead a 4-H club, church youth group, environmental service club, or other organized group of youth? ALNC will special tailor a program outing to meet your group’s specific goals and interests!
  • GirlsDiggingBirthday Parties – No kid is too old to celebrate naturally with a cool nature-themed birthday program and party at ALNC.
  • Emily in the Cattails Close UpHome School – Come join us and let us help add an environmental education component to your homeschool curriculum. Classes are offered weekly.
  • BoywithMap Summer Camps – Outdoor adventure and hands-on nature activities encourage children, ages 2-16, to experience the great outdoors throughout the summer.  From Backpacking the Ice Age Trail to Adventures with Laura Ingalls to Muckin’ in the Marsh and Overnight Family camps, there’s something for everyone to enjoy a summer of learning and discovery outdoors!
