About Planned Giving

Leopold Legacy Society
Giving future generations the opportunity to learn about, love and care for our natural world.

By making a planned gift to the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, you can ensure that our mission of teaching people to understand, appreciate and care for our natural world in the spirit of famed ecologist Aldo Leopold, is carried into the future. Your legacy gift will pass the torch to future generations of children and adults so they develop the same sense of stewardship and responsibility toward our environment that you upheld in your lifetime.

There are several ways that you can make an outright or planned gift to the Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC).  ALNC is a 501 (c)( 3) organization, which means your gift will not only make a lasting difference toward the things you valued most in your lifetime, but it may also provide tax benefits to you and your family:

  • Give an outright gift such as cash, securities or real estate
  • Make a bequest through your will or living trust
  • Name ALNC as a beneficiary of your existing IRAs, retirement plan, or life insurance policy
  • Give a life- income gift such as charitable or deferred gift annuities, or a charitable remainder trust, among other options

We encourage you to discuss these giving options with your financial planner or estate planning attorney to find an option that is right for you.
