Adult Workshop: Basic Wildfire Firefighter & Prescribed Fire Training

(S-130 / S-190, I-100, L-180)
This 32‐hour course encompasses S‐130 Fire Fighter (24 hrs. online and 8 hrs. formal workshop), S‐190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior (self-study), L‐180 Human Factors on the Fireline, and I-100 Introduction to the Incident Command System (self-study) training. It is designed for entry level firefighters and personnel and required by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) for agencies subscribing to National Interagency Management System (NIMS). 

Instructor: This course will be taught by Incident Management Specialist LLC, instructor Ken Terrill from Sun Prairie, WI. Ken is certified by the National Wildfire Suppression Association (NWSA) to deliver courses approved by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG), which is the national organization that has developed the training and qualification standards for wildfire and prescribe fire professionals. Ken has over 25 years of experience in working wildfire and prescribe fire for the State of Wisconsin, South Dakota and nationally.
